1. Race
Registration, Mandatory Racers Meeting and
Gear Check will take place in the
Crested Butte Mountain
Resort ski area in the
Mountaineer Square. Please look for signs
directing you to the specific location.
2. Everyone must
register before 10:30 AM on race day.
Registration takes approximately 20 minutes
per person, so plan accordingly. Racers
not through with registration by 10:45 AM
will not race! We have plenty of racers
waiting to get a slot for no-shows, therefore
please be on time.
3. The Mandatory Gear Check will take place
immediately following the Racers Meeting.

specifics about this crucial event.
4. The Pasta Feed will be simultaneous
with the Mandatory Gear Check.
5. A Random Final Gear Check will take
place immediately before the Race Start,
at the Crested Butte Community School,
where the race begins. All
racers must be at the school by 11:30pm
having picked up their "dog tags" and
through beacon check or you will not
race!
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT ALL
INFORMATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. WEATHER
AND SNOW CONDITIONS WILL DICTATE THE RACE
STARTING TIME, LOCATION, COURSE AND
RULES.
YOUR REGISTRATION FEE IS
NON-REFUNDABLE
WEATHER COULD FORCE AN ALTERNATE
START TIME OR CANCELLATION!

Transportation for Your Gear:
Included in your registration fee is
transportation for one duffel bag of
personal gear from Crested Butte to
Aspen. These bags will be collected at
the final check-in at the Crested Butte
Community School (near the start
line). Water- proof bags recommended!
Your bag will be available for pick up
at the finish line in Aspen.
Skiers who do not make the cut off time
at Star Pass and are returned to Crested
Butte should have an alternate plan for
retrieving their bag in Aspen. Our truck
will be returning to Crested Butte on
Saturday afternoon but you may already
be in route home before the baggage
arrives. All bags not picked up in Aspen
will be returned to Crested Butte.
Transportation for You:
We have a ride board on our website, www.elkmountaintraverse.org We
encourage everyone to car pool and help
out other racers. BE GREEN! The Crested
Butte Junior Nordic Team has raised
money by hiring out vans in the past.
